Sales Selections

At Signature Pedigrees, decisions are grounded in pedigree logic, commercial reality and long-term racing outcomes — not hype or fashion.
The following examples reflect real selections, real transactions and what those horses achieved:

2019 – Adelaide Yearling Sale
Selected a Manhattan Rain colt out of Flying Spur mare Daily Flyer.
Purchased for $80,000 by Leon Macdonald.
That colt became Manhatten Times, winning over $300,000 in prizemoney.

2021 – Adelaide Yearling Sale
My sole selection was a Wandjina × Voltaira colt, sold for $50,000 to Will Clarken.
I moved too late to secure involvement — the colt was fully sold when I called.
He later became Hong Kong Champion Galaxy Patch, now a $6 million HKD earner.

2023 – Great Southern Sale
Purchased a Rubick × Scandinavia weanling for $1,500 to pinhook.
He resold for $22,500 at the Adelaide Yearling Sale.
The next buyer pinhooked again, selling him for $300,000 at the Ready-to-Race Sale as a 2YO.

2024 – Tasmania Yearling Sale
Strongly liked the Levendi × Hidden Charm colt on pedigree.
After being advised he was “too small” and not worth inspecting, I passed.
He sold for $5,000, was named Tempt The Gods, and has since won or placed in 6 of 8 starts, earning $125,000+, including a Metropolitan win at Flemington.

2025 – Inglis Classic Sale
Top selection was a St Mark’s Basilica × Erin colt from Twin Hills Stud.
Expected to sell near $300,000, he instead sold for $40,000.
I immediately secured a share.
Now in training with Alexander Brothers Racing, with high expectations ahead
